Approved Observations of the Practitioner

Level I

If you are applying for a Level I certificate you need to include one documentation of your being observed while working with young children,  by a qualified professional.  The observation will take about an hour of your time, including 30 minutes of being observed.  If you are taking the Fundamentals for Early Childhood Professionals course, this retirement is part of the course. If you are earning a Level I certificate using a different option, you will need to arrange to have one observation completed.  The observer needs to be qualified as  an experienced professional in the early childhood field: see the Guidance for the Observation of the Practitioner.  You and your observer, together, should use the forms below and send a copy of the completed observation, with your Level I application to Northern Lights.
