
These classes and courses are designed and evaluated by Northern Lights staff and partners. They are offered in each region of the state for early childhood and afterschool professionals, or those wishing to work in these fields. They meet specific requirements for the early childhood Career Ladder, Afterschool Pathways and Credentials. The classes and modules are based on the Early Childhood and Afterschool Core Competencies and the Program Director Competencies.
Some of these curricula also have information specifically for instructors and sponsors, which are password protected.

The Vermont Northern Lights Career Development Center works with many partners to unify and enhance the professional development system for early childhood and afterschool professionals in Vermont. It is funded by a grant from the Child Development Division of the Vermont Agency of Human Services. The Community College of Vermont (CCV) and the Vermont Child Care Industry and Careers Council (VCCICC) are co-grantees.
