Level I
If you are applying for a Level I certificate by completing the Portfolio Review option, you also need to be observed once by a professional, while working with children. You can arrange to be observed by an approved professional by contacting your local Resource Development Specialist. You and your observer, together, should use the forms below and send a copy of the completed observation, with your Level I application to Northern Lights.

Level II and III
If you are applying for a Level II certificate by completing 12 related college credits or by the Portfolio Review option, you also need to be observed twice by a professional, while working with children. You can arrange to be observed by an approved professional by contacting your local Resource Development Specialist. You and your observer, together, should use the forms below and send a copy of the completed observation, with your Level II application to Northern Lights.
